M-Powered Pro Tools
Just Finished seting up the new M-audio Ozonic controller
with the new M-Powered Pro Tools. This toghether with my
G4 Laptop will be going through the paces in the next few
weeks.. check back soon for a full review.
Rane Serato Final Scratch
I just recently switched over after 2 years of using Final
Scratch
and going through all their upgrades from version 1.0 to 2.0
I was not happy with the technical support and overall unstableness
of FS so I decided to take the next plunge and get SSL. I have used
serato for the last month every saturday night at a club gig and it
has performed very stable this was with the 1.3 version that came in
the box. This week i made the upgrade to ver 1.44 I must warn that
if you make the upgrade, do it at least 3 days prior to your gig
i made the mistake to try and upgrade on friday the night before
my gig on sat and i was not able to use the program this last weekend
it took all the way till monday to "build overviews of my music Collection
(I currently have about 20,000 titles) but still it took 3 days to complete
the analyzing of the tracks. Their are some features that i truly miss
from Final Scratch A) Time Compression expansion B) ability to record my
sets
Now to test the new upgrade and see how this version will work. Check back
in the next couple of weeks for the update.
